Most supplement "reviews" online are thinly disguised sales pages. We wanted to be upfront about how we actually evaluate blood sugar supplements, so you can judge our ratings for yourself rather than take them on faith.

1. Ingredient Transparency

We check whether a brand discloses its exact ingredient amounts or hides them behind a vague "proprietary blend." Full disclosure earns higher marks, since it lets you (and your doctor) actually evaluate what you're taking.

2. Scientific Backing

We look at whether the individual ingredients have published research behind them — and we're explicit about the difference between research on an ingredient in isolation versus a clinical trial on the finished product itself. Very few supplements in this category have the latter, which we account for rather than ignore.

3. Manufacturing & Safety Standards

We check for basic manufacturing signals: is it made in an FDA-registered, GMP-certified facility? Are potential allergens or interactions clearly disclosed? Is there a clear FDA disclaimer rather than disease-cure claims?

4. Value for Money

We compare per-bottle pricing across package sizes, check for hidden subscription traps, and note whether shipping and bonuses are clearly disclosed upfront.

5. Customer Feedback Patterns

We look at publicly available customer feedback for recurring themes — both positive and negative — rather than cherry-picking only glowing quotes.

How We Turn This Into a Score

Each of the five areas above gets its own star rating, and the overall score is a straightforward average, not a marketing number. We publish the category breakdown alongside the overall score in every review, including our GlucoTide review, so you can see exactly where a product is strong and where it's average.
